April 1 - International Bird Day

Today marks International Bird Day. Nowadays, many bird species are threatened with extinction to make sure you open the Red Data Book or the Red List of Endangered Species of the international organization IUCN.

That is why a decision was made on December 6, 1906 and a special date of April 1 was declared by the Convention for the Protection of Rare Birds as International Bird Day. This is one of the first conservation dates in the international calendar of global events, through which people declare their concern for the conservation and conservation of our planet's wildlife.
