Today we celebrate World Environment Day. This year it is dedicated to "ecosystem restoration", and the goal is to focus public attention on the connection between people and nature. All living organisms live on Earth not in isolation from each other, but in the form of communities. In them, everything is interconnected, both living organisms and inanimate factors. Such a formation in nature is called an ecosystem. The ecosystem sustains all life on Earth. We are all part of this 'system', but we often forget it. Therefore, each of us can and must take action to protect the environment. World Environment Day is the most important day for actions aimed at protecting the environment. Since 1974, it has been celebrated every year on June 5, engaging governments, the private sector, celebrities, and citizens to focus their efforts on a serious environmental problem. The date for the celebration was chosen because it was on June 5 that the work of the UN Conference on the Environment began in 1972.
