The Forestry General Directors of the European Union Member States participated in the afforestation

The Forestry General Directors of the European Union Member States participated in the afforestation of a new European forest on the land of the village of Padala, the region of "Rila Monastery". The event "For a green, united Europe" was organized within the framework of the informal meeting of the forestry directors of the EU Member States, which is part of the program of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The participants in the action planted 30 saplings of the Atlas cedar and birch species.
The afforestation also includes the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Atanas Dobrev.

The guests visited the Rila Monastery and the Rila Monastery Nature Park Visitor Center, where they had the chance to get information about the natural resources of the 11 natural parks in Bulgaria and especially of the Rila Monastery Nature Park.
