Startof the Forestweek

We started the Week of the Forest in the kindergarten "Dr. Todora Miladinova" in the city of Rila. The children learned how to recognize the age of trees and why the forest is important to people and animals. And by planting trees, we proved that each of us can contribute to its preservation. ????

Restoration of park infrastructure

The forest inspectors at the "Rila Monastery" DPP repaired the damage caused to the infrastructure, as a result of gusty and strong winds, in the "Kirilova Polyana" area. Fallen trees and broken branches have been removed from the "Disabled Path" and the path is once again ready to welcome its visitors.

After the weather conditions improved, employees of the "Rila Monastery" Nature Park began a phased restoration of the park infrastructure from damage caused by weather conditions and unscrupulous visitors.  

Day of Action for Rivers

Today, March 14, we celebrate the International Day of Action for Rivers. The largest river on the territory of the Rila Monastery Nature Park is the Rilska River. Its length is 51 km, which gives it the 83rd place among the rivers of Bulgaria. The water richness of the rivers in the park has impressed people since ancient times.
