NEWS /Students from the Nature and Science Club got acquainted with the medicinal plants in the Rila Monastery Nature Park
Once again the experts of the Rila Monastery Nature Park visited students from the Nature and Science Club at the St.P. Hilendarski Secondary School in Dupnitsa.
The topic of the lesson was "Medicinal Plants in the Park" which aroused great interest among students. They became acquainted with the species richness of medicinal plants, the rules for their personal collection and storage, their proper use and the ways of preserving the biodiversity of medicinal plants.
During the lesson, students were able to identify for themselves some types of herbs that were prepared in advance by the park's experts, and then they made a detailed description of their application in folk medicine.
In addition to the lesson, some of the young nature lovers prepared presentations for the plants and presented them to their classmates.
