Declaration of a fire season and a ban on lighting open fires

The Directorate of the Rila Monastery Nature Park informs all citizens and guests of the park that in connection with Order No. OA-RD-14-60/17.03.2026 of the Regional Governor of Kyustendil Region and on the basis of Art. 137 and Art. 138 of the Forestry Act:

IT IS PROHIBITED: Lighting an open fire and carrying out fire work on the entire territory of the Rila Monastery Nature Park, including all specialized areas for one-day recreation.

Period of validity of the ban: From 01.04.2026 to 30.11.2026.

We appeal to all visitors to strictly comply with fire prevention rules in order to preserve the unique biodiversity and forests on the territory of the park.
