Dear visitors, two Christian holidays are coming - The Assumption of Vergin Mery (August 15) and the Assumption of Saint John of Rila (August 18). On these days, many worshipers are expected to visit the Rila Monastery from August 14 to 18 and the areas of the park near the monastery.
That is why we remind you, in connection with the announced fire season, for the period from April 16 to November 30, 2024, the Directorate of the Rila Monastery Nature Park prohibits the lighting of open fires on the entire territory of the Rila Monastery Nature Park - including the corners for one-day recreation.
Be careful and vigilant, because high temperatures and carelessness in lighting fires in forests create a real danger of fires that can endanger people's lives, and destroy valuable vegetation and forests, as well as the habitats of many animals.
And if you see a fire in the forest, please call 112 immediately.
