NEWS /we celebrate one of the biggest Christian holidays - Assumption of the Virgin Mary
Today we celebrate one of the biggest Christian holidays - Assumption of the Virgin, better known as the Great Virgin. On this day, hundreds of pilgrims traditionally come to the Rila Monastery. In addition to the monastery, pilgrims traditionally go to the surrounding recreation areas, built by the park directorate.
We call on all worshipers and visitors to the nature park to comply with the provisions of the order of the Director of the Directorate of Nature Park "Rila Monastery", which came into force on 06.06.2022 and prohibited the lighting of open fires and the performance of fireworks on the entire territory of Priroden "Rila Monastery" park, including the corners for one-day recreation until 31.11.2022 inclusive. The order was issued in connection with the complicated fire hazard situation in the country and the increased danger of fires.
We urge all park visitors to be vigilant and responsible!!! Let's protect the forests and the life in them❗????????
