On 15 June, a stakeholder seminar was held in the Rila Monastery Nature Park within the INOViMENTOR project, funded under the Interreg Balkan-Mediteranean program. The project provides activities for innovation in small and medium-sized tourism and other tourism-related activities, such as cultural industries (festivals, souvenirs, design, folklore, traditions, gastronomy), crafts, construction etc. The emphasis is on the unknown, "unclaimed" heritage (for which we know nothing or we do not know enough), which can allow us to create a variety of products and to organize new entrepreneurial activities.
During the seminar, the opportunities for development of small and medium-sized tourism business as well as entrepreneurship related to local crafts (production of souvenirs, offering of typical local products), folklore, traditions, etc., were discussed on the basis of the potential of the natural and the cultural heritage of the Rila Monastery Nature Park and the settlements around it, as well as the settlements on the territory of the Belasitsa Nature Park.
