The fire in the Koja Karitsa locality in the Rila Monastery Nature Park is located. For the time being, it remains under surveillance by fire department officials.
The fire that broke out three days ago covered about 15 acres of grass vegetation and single spruce trees. The teams have extinguished the flames by hand because the terrain is difficult and is located at an altitude of 2000 meters.
Representatives of forestry, the Regional Fire Safety and Population Protection Service (RSPBZN) in Dupnitsa, Kyustendil and Rila, representatives of the Rila Monastery Nature Park and the Rila Holy Monastery participated in the location of the fiery element.
Forest fires are a national problem. There are a lot of human efforts, technical and financial resources to suppress them, as well as to restore flora and fauna.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Executive Agency for Forests and all forest structures again call on all citizens to protect forests from fires because "irresponsibility is the most dangerous spark"!
