NEWS /New route on the territory of the Rila Monastery Nature Park
The Directorate of the Rila Monastery Nature Park under the Forestry Executive Agency has designated and built a new route on the territory of the park, namely the Visitor Center - Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church. It starts from the visitor center of the Rila Monastery Nature Park, in the Pchelina area, passes through a mixed forest, and leads to the ridge of the mountain, from which a beautiful panoramic view of the Iliina River watershed is revealed. From there it enters the forest again and leads to the small revival Orthodox church belonging to the Pchelino cloister of the Rila monastery - Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church.
Along the path, individual centuries-old trees can be seen, numerous birds and wonderful panoramic views can be observed, and the information boards placed on the road enrich the knowledge of the visitors about the nature park and its natural and cultural heritage.
