International Day for Biological Diversity

Every year on May 22 we celebrate the day of biological diversity. Bulgaria ranks as one of the first places in Europe in terms of its biodiversity, and the protected areas in the country are the core for its protection. The territory of Rila Monastery Nature Park preserves a significant part of the flora and fauna of Bulgaria.

You can learn which are the most characteristic plants in the park from the presentation prepared by Angela Vasileva Vasileva, a student from the club "Nature and Science" at "St. P. Hilendarski" school in Dupnitsa, led by Mrs. Nadia Karaliyska.
