NEWS / Celebration of Enyovden with Representatives of the Tourist Society of Rila
On the occasion of Enyovden (Midsummer Day), experts from the Directorate of Rila Monastery Nature Park organized a meeting with representatives of the Tourist Society of Rila, dedicated to the richness of medicinal plants and the Bulgarian traditions associated with this holiday.
During the event, participants learned more about the diversity of medicinal herbs found within the park area, their healing properties, and their use in traditional folk medicine. The meeting provided an opportunity for sharing knowledge and experience, with participants recounting personal stories and memories related to herbal practices and traditions passed down through generations.
In keeping with the customs of Enyovden, a traditional wreath of herbs was woven, and all participants passed beneath it with wishes for health, prosperity, and good fortune throughout the year.
The Directorate of Rila Monastery Nature Park extends its gratitude to the representatives of the Tourist Society of Rila for their active participation and for sharing this special celebration.
