NEWS / Educational Visit to "Evlogi Georgiev" Primary School – Dupnitsa
A team from the Directorate of Rila Monastery Nature Park visited the second-grade students of "Evlogi Georgiev" Primary School in the town of Dupnitsa as part of its educational outreach programme for children.
The young nature enthusiasts welcomed their guests with curiosity and enthusiasm. Through interactive presentations, the students were introduced to the natural treasures protected within the park's boundaries – forest ecosystems, clean water sources, and a diverse array of wildlife and plant life that requires shared care and responsibility.
A key focus of the programme was the rules of conduct in protected areas – the importance of maintaining silence for the sake of wildlife, the prohibition on picking plants, and the impact of litter on nature, including how long it takes for various types of waste to decompose in the environment.
The visit concluded with themed nature riddles, through which the students put their newly acquired knowledge to the test – and passed with flying colours!
As a token of appreciation, the school presented the team with a certificate of gratitude – a meaningful acknowledgement of the importance of such initiatives and an inspiring motivation to continue the park's educational activities.
The Directorate of Rila Monastery Nature Park extends its sincere thanks to the management and teachers of "Evlogi Georgiev" Primary School for their warm welcome and successful cooperation. We look forward to welcoming the students as guests in the park!
