NEWS / Celebration of the 26th Anniversary of Rila Monastery Nature Park
On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of Rila Monastery Nature Park, a celebratory event was held with the participation of seventh-grade students from Hristo Botev Secondary School in Kocherinovo, accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Taseva.
The Director of Rila Monastery Nature Park, Eng. Grigorov, welcomed the students and commended their interest in nature and their active participation in the event. In his address, he emphasized the importance of protected areas for the conservation of biodiversity and highlighted the role of young people as future guardians of our natural heritage.
As part of the celebration, the participants visited the newly renovated section of the "Young Nature Lover Trail", where they were introduced to the new educational information boards dedicated to medicinal plants found within the park. The renovation aims to enhance environmental education opportunities and encourage visitors to learn more about the rich flora of the Rila Mountains.
The celebration concluded with a ceremonial anniversary cake, shared by all participants in recognition of the 26th anniversary of Rila Monastery Nature Park.
