In 2021 the collection of 24 species of medicinal plants from their natural habitats throughout the country is strictly prohibited. This stipulates Order № RD-162 / 25.02.2021 of the Minister of Environment and Water. On the territory of Rila Monastery Nature Park, prohibited for picking are the following: medicinal locust, grasshopper, Iceland lichen, ungulate, bearberry, panchichi tweeter and salep.
