29 December - International Day of Biodiversity

International Biodiversity Day is marked by a decision of the 49th Session of the UN General Assembly of 1995 on the day of the entry into force in 1993 of the International Convention on Biological Diversity signed on 14 June 1992 in Rio de Janeiro Janeiro, Brazil.

Ecological problems and children

Today, the experts of the Rila Monastery Nature Park visited the Hristo Botev Secondary School. They introduced to the children of the 7th grade  the ecological problems which humanity faces today. A presentation was presented to the students, from which they learned about the most pressing ecological problems of humanity such as: air pollution, water pollution, global warming, etc.
