Project "Nature for people and nature" 

The project is co-financed by the European Union through the IPA CBC Bulgaria - Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. 

 

On 14.10.2014 / Tuesday / 10:00 am in the Great Hall of the Municipality of Rila will be held the final press conference for the presentation of the activities and results achieved in the project 200CB16IPO007-2011-2-03 "Nature for people and nature" in program IPA CBC Bulgaria - Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Leading organization's management of the National Park "Rila Monastery" to the Executive Forest Agency and the partner is Ecological Society "Planetum" from the city. Strumica. 

The local community will be presented the results of the project a number of training pre-selected target groups of the Republic of Macedonia, and held a workshop in Bulgaria, which were presented to acting techniques and methods for development of ecological and sustainable tourism. This training enabled participants to present their own initiatives and develop project proposals to apply for funding in the future. 

 

 

Upon completion of the project in the city. Strumica Closing conference for all participants and interested institutions / organizations involved in conservation on both sides of the border /. During which discussed the development of eco-tourism in the two regions and the creation of a cooperation network. 

The total project cost is EUR 77 159.84 euros and lasts 18 months. 

The main objectives of the project are to strengthen the human capacity to protect the still untouched by human activity, natural resources, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation between the two regions in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development of tourism.
