Prohibition of lighting fires on the territory of Rila Monastery Nature Park

In connection with the announced fire season,  it is forbidden to light fires on the territory of the Rila Monastery Nature Park for the period from 06.06.2022 to 30.11.2022.   Forest inspectors installed prohibitory information signs on the most visited areas - "Iliyna River", "Obedishte", "Studenata cheshma" and "Kirilova Polyana".           We urge all visitors to comply with the banning regimes in the Nature Park.

The restoration activities of the park infrastructure on the territory of Rila Monastery National Park continue

Forest inspectors began to impregnate the fence of the "Path for People with Disabilities" in Kirilova Polyana. The replacement and repair of rotten elements from the recreation areas continues. The gradual cleaning of grasses and bushes around the information boards in Eleshnitsa area has started. We call on the visitors of the Rila Monastery National Park to protect the tourist infrastructure, to observe the fire safety rules and to collect the waste after themselves.

Due to the high temperatures on the territory of the country and increasing the risk of fires, from June 6 to November 30, 2022 it is prohibited to light fires on the territory of the Rila Monastery Nature Park. The preparation of the infrastructure for the summer tourist season has started

At the beginning of the new tourist season, the employees of the Directorate of the Rila Monastery Nature Park are working hard to maintain and restore the tourist infrastructure of the park. The forest inspectors built and painted the protective fence around the Visitor's Point in the Kirilova Polyana area, as well as cleaned of waste left by unscrupulous tourists in the area of Kirilova Polyana and around the fountain on Iliyna River.
