Play day in Rila

The Rila Monastery Nature Park Directorate participated in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Rila's designation as a city. A children's holiday was organized with a drawing on asphalt  and  children's workshop both on a natural theme. The Holy Road ”- in the footsteps of St. Ivan Rilski

Today, the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Rila Monastery in connection to the end of the "Holy Road" - in the footsteps of St. Ivan Rilski.   The pilgrimage hike is organized to mark the 550th anniversary of the return of the relics of St. John of Rila the Wonderworker from Turnovo to the Rila Monastery this year.
