Day of herbs

This year specialists of the park celebrated the day of herbs with a visit to the Kindergarten "Dr. Todora Miladinova" in the town of Rila, where children learned about the most common medicinal plants in the region and how to protect them.

Risk of forest fires

Directorate of Rila Monastery Nature Park urge all citizens to be particularly careful and to refrain from lighting fires in nature, including farmland where light a fire is strictly prohibited. This is because of the high temperatures in the country and the related high risk of forest fires.

Month of biodiversity in Kocherinovo

Experts from Rila Monastery Nature Park visited today the school in the town of Kocheerinovo. They presented The new Bulgarian Red Book of  protected and endangered species, as well as some of the protected species included in it. Forestry experts told the children interesting facts about tree species in the park.
