Monitoring of protected plants

In August Experts from Rila Monastery Nature Park conducted an observation of protected plant species in different  parts of the park. Monitoring carried out in the areas of Iliina river, Tiha Rila, near peack Kalin and others.

Day of herbs

This year specialists of the park celebrated the day of herbs with a visit to the Kindergarten "Dr. Todora Miladinova" in the town of Rila, where children learned about the most common medicinal plants in the region and how to protect them.

Risk of forest fires

Directorate of Rila Monastery Nature Park urge all citizens to be particularly careful and to refrain from lighting fires in nature, including farmland where light a fire is strictly prohibited. This is because of the high temperatures in the country and the related high risk of forest fires.
