German forest owners visited the nature park

Today, a meeting of park experts with forest owners from Germany was held in the information center of Rila Monastery Nature Park. The biodiversity of the protected area was presented and the uses on the territory of the park were discussed. guests visited the Rila Monastery and the park's dendrological path.

Austrian  foresters together with their colleagues from the Forest Institute visited the Rila Monastery Nature Park Information Center. The guests visited the areas of Obediste and Kirilova Polyana, where they had the opportunity to see beech and coniferous forests.

On May 11, 2019, students from the Nature and Science Club of the Secondary School "Paisii Hilendarski" led by Mrs. Nadia Karaliyska visited the information center of the Rila Monastery Nature Park. The 9th and 10th grade youngsters were introduced to the activities of the park, its remarkable biodiversity and natural resources. Were discussed topical issues of environmental pollution, methods of conservation and what each of us alone can do for the planet's future.

Earth Day at Hristo Botev High School in Kocherinovo

The Rila Monastery Nature Park Directorate  celebrated the International Earth Day at the Hristo Botev High School in the town of Kocherinovo. The attention of fifth and seventh class students was directed at the rate of extinction of wildlife species and plants. The students were also familiar with some of the protected plant and animal species of the nature park.
